FLX Mocktail Spots You’ve Got to Try

While the Finger Lakes is celebrated for having an incredible selection of wines, hard ciders, and beers made by artisans who have truly mastered their crafts, we know that not every guest may be up for sampling. If you’re visiting the Finger Lakes and would prefer an alcohol-free trip or if you have someone in your party who doesn’t drink, we have some recommendations of spots for non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails made with the same care and expertise as the wine, beer, and spirits our region is known for, like:

The Sand Bar at The Lake House on Canandaigua: This popular bar and restaurant with lakeside views in Canandaigua offers a zero proof cocktail menu crafted with Seedlip products.

Twisted Rail Brewing Company: This small batch brewery with multiple locations throughout the Finger Lakes is known for making some great non-alcoholic beer, including the Lone Train IPA, which has less than 0.5% ABV.

Glenora Wine Cellars: Located in Dundee, this winery and restaurant offers an entire mocktail menu, making it a great option for those looking for non-alcoholic drinks.

Quincy Exchange in Corning: This popular American Bistro has fabulous fare with a local focus, offers non-alcoholic wheat beer, and makes mocktails with Seedlip products or spiritless bourbon.

18th Amendment Kitchen & Cocktail Bar: Located in Penn Yan, this restaurant showcases locally sourced menu options plus creative mocktails made with fresh juices and house-made syrups.

Sacred Root Kava Lounge and Tea Bar: Ithaca’s thriving downtown is home to many great restaurants and bars, including this one, which serves traditional kava drinks as well as kombucha, teas, and vegan desserts.

Even if one of these options isn’t on your list to visit, make sure you ask any bartender when you’re out about your mocktail options. All of our restaurants have great local ingredients and house-made products and may be able to create something special just for you that you’ll love!

As for what to enjoy once you’ve settled back into your Seneca Lake vacation house for the night, here are a few of our favorite mocktail recipes to try!

  • Party Punch: In a pitcher with ice, combine 4 cups cranberry juice, 3 cups sparkling apple cider, 4 cups ginger ale and 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice. Garnish with fresh orange slices.

  • Nojito: Combine muddled mint leaves with the juice of 3 limes, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and seltzer. Serve in two glasses.

  • Cinnamon Sparkle: Mix 4 ounces of cranberry or pomegranate juice with 2 ounces of brewed cinnamon tea, 1 ounce of orange juice, and ⅓ cup of seltzer. If you’d like this a bit sweeter, add a touch of Grouse Hill Maple Syrup, made right here in the Finger Lakes on our property!
